Claim Your Spot on the 2026 Uganda Expedition

If you’re ready to feel inspired again and actually get professional development that fills you up instead of draining you (while also fulfilling the credit-hour requirements you need at home) then join the 2026 Uganda expedition. This experience will stick with you for the rest of your career. Go ahead and save your spot.

You deserve this.

What Makes This Trip Special

Most teacher-travel programs are either tourism disguised as service… or service disguised as tourism. Chalkboard Nomads is different:

Real Professional Development

Workshops, collaboration, classroom observations,

continuing education certificate.

Impactful Collaboration

You’ll learn as much from local teachers as they’ll learn from you.

Small Group, Deep Experience

Just 15 teachers. Real conversations. Real relationships.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Exploration

A transformative journey blending cultural discovery, meaningful school engagement, and unforgettable adventures.

Teacher-Led and Teacher-Designed

This program was built by a teacher (me), for teachers who deserve something meaningful.

Long-Term Partnerships

Your travel dollars help fund scholarships and ongoing capacity-building in the local community.

Why Chalkboard Nomads Exists

Teaching is an incredible calling, but it can also wear you thin. You pour so much into your students, school, and community that it’s easy to forget to pour anything back into yourself. After years of traveling with students and having the chance to teach and train teachers in India and Uganda, I saw just how transformative true global collaboration can be. Not only for the local classrooms that we partnered with, but for the teachers who showed up open-hearted and returned home more inspired than they’d felt in years. That’s when it hit me: Teachers need experiences that nourish their spirit as much as their skillset.

And that’s exactly why I started Chalkboard Nomads.
