Your Peru Journey
Follow the experience from arrival through classroom immersion, cultural exploration, professional collaboration, and celebration.
Day 1–3: Arrival & Orientation
Arrive in Lima for rest and settling in. Meet your cohort for a community-led orientation exploring expectations, then transfer to Yanapumas with a coastal wildlife boat excursion to observe local sea lions and Humboldt penguins.
Days 4–7: Classroom Collaboration & Cultural Exchange
Work alongside Peruvian educators through classroom observation, co-planning, co-teaching, and professional exchange while building authentic relationships with local teachers and students.
Days 8–9: Paracas, Ballestas Islands & Huacachina
Recharge during a weekend exploration of coastal Peru, including Paracas National Reserve, the Ballestas Islands, and the Huacachina Oasis.
Days 10–14: Professional Development & Leadership
Design and facilitate collaborative professional learning opportunities with local educators while continuing classroom engagement and instructional exchange.
Day 15: Celebration & Farewell
Celebrate accomplishments, strengthen professional connections, and participate in a closing cultural experience and farewell gathering.
Optional Extension: Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu
Extend your experience with a 3-day, 2-night journey through the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.
